Detective Inspector Scott WADE began his policing career in 1995, with the Ontario Provincial Police. As a commander of units, including the Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau – Niagara Falls, Provincial Anti-Terrorism Unit, Biker Enforcement Unit, Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit, Provincial Carjacking Joint Taskforce and Provincial Auto Theft & Towing team, Detective Inspector WADE led initiatives in intelligence and organized crime. He has also played an integral role in developing the provincial auto theft strategy and has testified before Interpol, the House of Commons – Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security and the Senate LCJC – Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs. On April 14, 2023, he was sworn in as a member of the Order of Merit – Policing. Detective Inspector Scott WADE is on the National Outlaw Motorcycle TIER group and is a regular presenter at the Canadian Integrated Response to Organized Crime (CIROC) on topics including OMG, Auto Theft and Money Laundering. He represents the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police on the National Port Security Committee and a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Stolen Motor Vehicle International Committee. Scott is a graduate of Brock University and Wilfrid Laurier University. He regularly lectures at Niagara College and other post-secondary institutions. Scott is the Vice President of the Niagara Wasps Rugby Football Club (est. 1952). Scott is a past president and current board member of the international Canadian and American Law Enforcement Organization (CALEO).
